Katarina about the song and the video:

“Pearls On A String” was the first song I wrote for the album, and I believe it brought me good creative luck, so I made it the title track of the album. It features Johan Barrer on drums and Sylvain Didou on upright bass, while Johan’s background vocals make the chorus work. I am also thrilled that the song features Laura Chavez on guitar: Laura is one of the best guitar players I’ve ever heard or shared the stage with. Last year, she was the first woman ever to win the Blues Foundation Award for Best guitarist.

The video was directed by our talented friend Valerian Galy, cinematographer based in Toulouse. It was a small production – meaning Valerian, Romain and I sat in a car and made the video as we went along. The star of the video is my mother in law’s old toy piano – a very interesting tuning.
